Proximate is an independent editorial project for UK organisations planning technology in physical spaces.
Who the guides are for
The site is written for venue managers, retailers, museums, event teams, integrators and operational staff evaluating Bluetooth beacons, NFC, QR codes, indoor navigation, notifications and location analytics.
What the site does not claim
We do not publish universal accuracy promises, treat a vendor estimate as a measured result, or imply that an app-free journey works on every phone. Legal, safety and accessibility articles support planning but do not replace qualified professional advice.
How the content is produced
The library was selected from 405 software-assisted source drafts. Every draft received an editorial decision; overlapping material was consolidated into 349 prepared guides. Sixty were published for the initial launch and the remainder were assigned a controlled publication schedule. The final pages received British-English editing, intent separation, factual corrections, primary-source links, internal linking and a dedicated de-templating pass.
Corrections and contact
Platform support, law and standards can change. Read the corrections policy and use the public editorial contact shown in the site footer once that mailbox has been activated.
